Slow Art Day 2026

at the deYoung Museum, San Francisco

Join us for Slow Art Day 2026 on Saturday, April 25th, 1:00-3:00 pm

Slow Art Day is an international annual event where participants view art - slowly.

We’ll spend one hour individually looking at just five carefully selected pieces—allowing time to observe, reflect, and engage deeply. Afterward, we’ll gather for a snack at the museum café to share our insights and discuss our experiences.

This is a chance to slow down, connect with art in a meaningful way, and enjoy a thoughtful conversation with fellow participants.

There is no fee to participate, and guess what? Admission to the deYoung is FREE every Saturday in 2026 for residents of any of the nine Bay Area counties. Bring your ID for admission. You’ll only pay for your snack and beverage. If you live outside of the Bay Area, check out the museum website for admission fees.
