Yoga at the Turning to the Mystics retreat
December 4-7, 2025
The Center for Action and Contemplation’s Turning to the Mystics Online Retreat, hosted by Turning to the Mystics podcast hosts Dr. James Finley and Kirsten Oates, offered an interactive online journey into contemplative wisdom through the lens of mystics Brother Lawrence and Gabriel Marcel.
Here is a clip from the yoga classes I taught during movement sessions.
Yoga for resilience
October and November 2025
Live yoga classes over Zoom designed to support both body and mind. Classes emphasize:
Increasing resilience through steady, sustainable movement
Being in the flow—literally and figuratively
Grounding with practices that connect breath, body, and presence
Yoga at the ReVision conference
October 24-26, 2025
I was honored to be teaching yoga during activity sessions at the Center for Action and Contemplation ReVision conference in Albuquerque in October.
As the first in a new annual series, ReVision welcomed spiritual seekers, skeptics, and faithful questioners to explore how ancient contemplative wisdom might help us reimagine the institutions, stories, and spiritual practices that shape us.
Yoga class for tech workers
June 18, 2025
In this one-hour class, we’ll practice poses and sequences for resilience and focus. The breath is a major part of the way I teach, so the approach is gentle, even though we’ll be doing poses that require concentration. Students have told me “it seems like we’re not doing anything but we’re working at such a deep level.”
At the end of the session, you’ll learn a 5-minute breathing practice you can do on your own.
Slow Art Day
April 5, 2025
Slow Art Day is an international annual event where participants slow down, connect with art in a meaningful way, and enjoy a thoughtful conversation with others.
Join Carol as she hosts Slow Art Day at the de Young Museum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Together, we’ll spend one hour looking at just five carefully selected pieces—allowing time to observe, reflect, and engage deeply. Afterward, we’ll gather for lunch at the museum café to share our insights and discuss our experiences.
What people say about Carol’s classes
“The class was a truly grounding experience, and I appreciated the focus on breathwork.”
“I enjoyed stepping away from the daily grind to join Carol's class. I really appreciated the focus on slowing down and breath work throughout the whole class.”
“By the end of class, I was almost feeling blissful and at peace.”
“We don't merely breathe to live, we breathe to become.”
